One of our important clients is in search of an Energetic Chef de Partie for a hotel in Amsterdam, and we would like to invite you to join us in this new adventure. How good does that sound?
What are you gonna do?
• Ensure all resources are available to the cooks to enable them to perform their tasks in a proper and timely manner.
• Properly communicate daily specials, menu changes, and special dietary needs of guests to the cooks.
• Act as a role model while taking part in service - preparing and cooking dishes, tidying and cleaning the kitchen section.
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
• Monitor incoming goods, such as supplies, ingredients, and pre-fabricated foods.
• Monitor the accurate execution of HACCP guidelines, fire safety policies, and working conditions.
Who you are
• Minimum of 1 year's relevant work experience in a similar role at a similar level kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food products according to market standards.
• Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques.
• You're fluent in English - Know other languages? The more the merrier!
• You're legally allowed to work in the Netherlands.

• For all kitchen staff (as for the whole hotel actually), we pride ourselves on barely ever having (or wanting) to ask someone to do overtime, so shifts are limited to 7.5 hours.
• Staff food and drinks are free of charge and very properly arranged.
• The kitchen team is very international, so for international colleagues, this can be very appealing (ranging from Dutch-Polish, British, Finnish, and Italian).
• We put a lot of effort into accommodating all scheduling wishes. Of course, we expect all members of staff to also work weekend days, but requests are usually granted. Staff doesn't work "late-early" shifts and barely ever have split-free shifts.
• This restaurant offers a very nice blend of working from an extensive breakfast buffet to large banqueting operations to (bar & terrace) bites and À la carte restaurant dining.
• Finally, we offer strong secondary benefits, such as after-work drinks, regular staff parties/outings, and staff members get to stay at other business locations for only €20 per night.
